Parrish Medical Center: January 2010

MHP Toledo Region hospitals (St Vincent’s, St Charles and St. Anne) are part of the larger Catholic Health Partners organization. Kelly McLendon sub-contracting through Darice Grzybowski’s HIMentors, LLC, performed extensive planning and strategies surrounding the consolidation of dozens of file areas into a single, hospital owned Central Document Management Center which will house not only hundreds of thousands of linear inches of file space but also the new scan operation and Release of Information. A few weeks later Citrus contacted us to provide interim HIM departmental management with goals of complete HIM operational transformation, for this we provided the very experienced Karen Youmans, RHIA. This process is creating operational benchmarks and measurements that will be of use to many facilities that are embarking upon EDM system implementation, especially (but by no means exclusively) those with McKesson HPF. Coding, transcription, deficiency analysis, coding, scan capture and all other HIM operations are being re-engineered into state-of-the-art processes which are significantly reducing the departmental operating expenses. They are also finished implementing a comprehensive paperless HIM department with McKesson’s HPF product.

El Camino Hospital – Mountainview California
